The Select Travel Group (STG) provides members with access to preferred product agreements that have been negotiated with Select partners by the Orient Express Travel Group.

The Select Travel Group (STG) currently has in excess of 300 Chinatown travel agencies as members - in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth - who benefit from membership to the group. Select partners are from various airlines, travel wholesalers, financial institutions, insurance companies and communication companies.

The main objectives of the STG is that of assisting both the agencies and the partners to achieve increases in their sales and profits; enhance their professionalism and maintain customer service levels of the highest standards; utilise a single, focused and relevant marketing distribution system and achieve incentive targets and increased productivity.

1ndependence Group

Launched in July 2006, 1ndependence assists travel agencies to grow their business and increase their profits. Utilising a single, focussed and relevant marketing distribution system to achieve incentive targets and increase productivity.

The 1ndependence brand, has been established by the Orient Express Travel Group (OETG), through its Express Ticketing and Express Fares divisions, to enable independent travel agents and professionals, to benefit by accessing an existing preferred national distribution platform.

There remains considerable potential and empowerment in being an 1ndependence local partner, through choosing some or all of the benefits that the OETG national buying group provides.

As a growing ticketing services provider, 1ndependence offers agencies around Australia, specialising in outbound travel, a larger segment of agency distribution within OETG. This service is unique to 1ndependence and is not offered to VFR Chinatown agencies.

OETG retail divisions are all full service travel agencies that can tailor make and provide extremely competitive pricing on any travel itinerary - whether it be a flight, a cruise, a coach tour, hotel accommodation or resort holiday to any destination. Although OETG specialises in Asia, this service applies to all destinations world-wide.

Orient Express Travel (OET), located at the Melbourne OETG head office, is one of the cornerstones of the Orient Express Travel Group. For over 25 years this retail arm has been providing professional travel services to a wide range of customers.

ChungPak Travel, located in the Sydney CBD and in Chatswood, NSW has been a leading retail travel group for over 35 years and became part of the OETG in November 2005.

In association with automated distribution partners Sabre, OETC can also provide individual companies with web-based travel sites. This enables companies to search for and book a ticket with the added benefit of utilising the OETG buying power to save on travel costs.

Express Ticketing

Express Ticketing Consolidation, specialises in promoting and marketing airline products to the travel industry, at very competitive rates. This division was formed when the company was first started 26 years ago and the need for the provision of a service to independent agencies was identified.

The preferred agency chain for Express Ticketing is the “Select Travel Group” comprising of more than 265 Chinatown travel agencies in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth. These agencies specialise in VFR markets and competitive fares to Asia and to a growing market beyond Asia.

Through its state of the art ticketing and web-based fares distribution system – Express Fares and Express Ticketing provides a range of benefits to authorised agents. These include a 24 hour ticket turnaround; the provision of 24/7 self ticketing facilities; on call after hour service and use of the TIN ticketing system to validate fares ruling and conditions before the ticket is printed. This system presents current airfares and deals, and simple-access search functions by carrier, destination or price.

Express Ticketing also issues tickets for travel agents throughout Australia on behalf of partner airlines. This travel agency client base is wide and varied, from Caucasian to Asian travel outlets, and is in excess of 400 agents Australia wide. Express Fares enables non-IATA agents to drive their own tickets 24/7.
