ORIENT EXPRESS TRAVEL GROUP

Tom Manwaring

Chief Executive Officer

Before joining OETG, Tom was with Cathay Pacific Airways for 29 years. He was initially based in Australia and thereafter in Hong Kong. During this time, Tom held various senior sales, marketing and management roles, including the role of Global Tactical Marketing Manager. He returned to Australia in 2000 to take up the role of Managing Director of Orient Express Travel. In November 2003 Tom and his wife Julie, became sole proprietors of the Group. As CEO, he is working with his team to develop the OETG into a major travel provider in Australia for both outbound and inbound travel.

Quynh Giang

General Manager Australia

Quynh joined OETG in March 1996 as Assistant Accountant. He later became Group Finance Manager, and was appointed General Manager in December 2004. Quynh’s main area of responsibility is the Express Ticketing Division. He has been responsible for the implementation of the fully automated ticketing system and is focused on developing preferred products and services for the Select Travel Group.

Robert Leung

General Manager - NSW

Robert held various positions at Cathay Pacific Airways from 1975 until 1988. He then joined Chung Pak Travel as a partner, and Sales and Marketing Manager. Robert was responsible for developing the retail business of Chung Pak Travel and the inbound tour business of CP Tours, which he successfully established as a major brand in the Asian inbound market. He was appointed as General Manager, NSW in November 2005.

Duncan Adams

Financial Controller

Duncan Adams joined OETG in February 2007 as Company Accountant. He has a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and has maintained the Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) qualification since 1994. Duncan has worked for national retail and wholesale businesses over the past fifteen years as an accountant and financial controller. The finance team which manages all accounting, budgeting and compliance functions for the group reports to Duncan.

Anthony Lau

IT Manager

Anthony joined OETG in March 2005 as a contractor and was appointed IT Manager in September 2006. Anthony has over 7 years experience in enterprise level IT integration and project management. His main area of responsibility is that of managing and further developing the OETG computer systems and network infrastructure nationally, and in ensuring that future IT needs are being addressed.

Jackie Gordon

HR Manager

Jackie has had responsibility for the Human Resources function since November 2004. She has extensive experience as a HR Manager and consultant in Australia and overseas. Jackie has a Bachelor of Arts and Honours in HR Management. Her role involves taking a hands-on proactive approach to developing, implementing and managing HR strategy, policies and procedures aligned to the needs of the business.

Giang Luong

State Manager - VIC/TAS

Prior to joining the OETG as Sales Manager in 2003, Giang held various marketing and managerial roles at Vietnam Airlines. Giang is responsible for growing the OETS business by sourcing new Select Agents, increasing the market share of existing accounts and for obtaining more benefits for the Select Agents.

Denise Dodd

Product Development Manager

Denise joined OETG in July 2006. She previously worked at Jetset Travelworld Group for 12 years. Her roles included preferred partner contracting, marketing, conference management and corporate events. She is currently responsible for product development for the retail and consumer network, as well as retail distribution and related advertising and public relations activities.

Jean Kho

Operations Manager - Melbourne

Jean has had over 20 years experience in travel. She originally joined the OETG in 1994 as a travel consultant and later became Ticketing Supervisor. She moved to Hong Kong for six years and rejoined in October 2004 as Operations Manager. In this role she is responsible for the day-to-day operations and service deliverables for Express Ticketing - Melbourne.

EXPRESS TICKETING BRISBANE

Katherine Chan

State Manager - QLD

Katherine commenced her career in the travel industry in 1972 with China Express Travel, Taiwan. In 1976 she joined British Airways, New Zealand. Katherine moved to Brisbane in 1979 and before joining the OETG in July 1996, held senior roles with British Airways, Jetset Travel and Holiday International. Katherine is responsible for managing the Queensland office.

Suzanne Ng

Sales Manager - NSW

Suzanne started her career in the travel industry in 1989. Prior to joining OETG, she held the position of Sales Executive at Consolidated Travel. Suzanne joined OETG in May 2006 and has responsibility for increasing sales by sourcing new agents and increasing the market share of existing accounts across both Select and 1ndependence brands.

Daniel James

State Manager - SA/NT

Daniel has been working in the travel industry since 1992. Daniel previously worked at Singapore Airlines for eight years, with his last role being that of Passenger Sales Executive. Prior to Singapore Airlines, Daniel worked in many facets of the industry including consolidation, wholesale and retail. Daniel is responsible for the management and growth of the Company in South Australia.

Jonathan Nelson

State Manager - WA

Since completing his B.Comm degree Jonathan has been working in the travel industry. In recent years he has held management positions in Perth with Carlson Wagonlit Travel Management and Intercontinental Hotels Group. Jonathan is responsible for the development of Express Ticketing Perth, and for the Group’s direction and development in Western Australia.
