A Brief History
Orient Express Travel Group (OETG) was established in Melbourne in 1980. In November 2003, the company was bought by the incumbent CEO Tom Manwaring, who with his strong vision and commitment to the company, its employees, customers and suppliers, is determined to grow the company profitably throughout Australia and Asia.
The company has developed into one of the most respected travel groups in Australia and today – with offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth – is the largest provider of Asian VFR passengers between Australia and Asia, is one of the largest independent travel organisations in Australia and one of the main revenue agents for Cathay Pacific Airways, Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways and Malaysia Airlines.
The vision for the future is for the company to become one of Australia’s leading integrated travel businesses across consolidation, retail and wholesale. It is to be a business of reference and one which offers profitable, sustained employment for staff and service excellence to all customers.
